One of the biggest draws in Southwest Florida this year has been the newborn alligators at the Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve. Right now they’re about a month old and less than a foot long. How can you catch a glimpse? Visit the slough at 7751 Penzance Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33912, Pay the $1 an hour parking fee (cheap!) and walk the boardwalk. The babies are usually found either in the marsh grass near the first observation area at Gator Lake, or along the walk on the side of the lake. Keep you head down and look for a small crowd of people who might have found them already. Look out for mom, too!
